This fully insulated, temperature-controlled wine cellar boasts a beautiful, modern design to really showcase this homeowner’s wine collection. Paired with a gorgeous custom shelving unit and racks to display a large collection that they can continue to add to. With every detail being custom designed, these homeowners had the flexibility to make the wine cellar of their dreams.

Modern Entry Door for Ultra Modern Single Family Home in Northbrook, Illinois

Modern design is displayed in this stunning home located in the highly coveted North shore suburb. Sharp corners and sleek products are used throughout the exterior and interior of this residence. Their entry door is of no exception. Glenview Haus was ecstatic to work on this project and provide our customer with a custom Euro-Technology entry door adorned with our stunning steel pull bar hardware. Classic Wine Cellar in Edgewater, Chicago

This basement in a suburb of Chicago was beautifully finished by the homeowner. After much thought, our customer decided that they needed a special addition to house their extensive wine collection. In collaboration with Lonnie Unger from Stones Throw Interiors, we helped to create this classic Wine Cellar. With custom American Cherry wood, we built one-of-a-kind racks, presentation shelves and storage closets. This wine cellar is perfectly equipped to hold top of the line wine bottles, with additional spirits.

Each home that we are lucky enough to work on, has distinct and unique qualities. This specific entryway had a sharp arch top that the customers wanted to accentuate. As designers, we were excited to tackle this project and recreate their vision of the perfect door. From the custom wrought iron design to the intricate panel details; from the shape, to the paneling, to even the finish, we were able to provide a focal point for their home that impresses neighbors and guests.

Custom Wall Paneling, Cabinetry and Wine Cellar door for Pool Hall in River North, Chicago

On this ultra-custom pool hall design, we had the pleasure of working with Jack Kreitinger, currently with Kreitinger Design, and Lonnie Unger, currently with Stones Throw Interiors. Our team worked closely with Lonnie to come up with the custom design for the wall paneling, custom cabinetry, as well as the wine cellar door. This project allowed us to showcase our many different design skills and expertise. Our collaborative design work created this beautiful speak-easy style pool room/lounge. From sleek and classic shaker style paneling, to dramatic 3-step crown molding, this project makes a theatrical statement that will impress all guests.

Speakeasy Style Wine Cellar in River North, Chicago

To play on the speak-easy feel of this pool hall in the basement, we combined our expertise and design skills to create this one-of-a-kind wine cellar. Our wine cellars are temperature controlled and designed with wine preservation in mind. The wine cellar door is the first introduction into the wine cellar. We designed this door to fit in to the existing décor and to create a sense of intrigue into what’s to come.

Steel Wine Cellar Unit in Winnetka, Illinois – STL-W4 Model

Form and function became one when this custom steel wine cellar room was completed. This temperature-controlled wine cellar room, made by artisan welders, includes a custom steel interior door with insulated glass, and adjacent custom steel wall panels with insulated glass. Our customer’s wine cellar room crafted from steel and insulated glass is sealed at all edges and kept at the recommended temperature of 55 degrees. In order to efficiently store collectible wine pieces and your daily go-to selections, we encourage a temperature controlled environment.

Modern Interior Doors Renovation in Bucktown, Chicago

We were pleased to be brought in on this penthouse renovation in the heart of Bucktown, Chicago. The goal of this project was to revamp the space and add an additional touch of modern design through the use of warm Walnut Eco-Veneer doors. With warm tones, we were able to play on the traditional feel of the space, yet bring in modern touches with the magnetic latch hardware, concealed hinges, and flush designs. The seamlessly matching frames give an added touch of style, making these door units appear intentional and luxe.

Custom Wine Cellar Project – Experience Tuscany at Your Home!

A dream house is more than walls and a roof, it is a place full of things that you love. When David Rabin got the chance to build the house of his dreams, it wasn’t enough to simply use stone instead of brick or wood instead of tile. He had to fill it with people and things he loved. So, as a passionate collector of wine, he set out to build a custom wine cellar. “One of my biggest worries, though, was space,” said David. “We knew we wanted a wine cellar, and that we wanted it to be gorgeous, but we had no idea where it would be or if we even had the space for one.”

Historical Renovation Doors, Fire-Rated – Chicago Temple First United Methodist Church

Recently, Glenview Haus finished replacing the wooden doors for Chicago Temple First United Methodist Church, also known as First Methodist Episcopal Church. The building was completed in 1923, and at the time was the largest building in Chicago. Glenview Haus was able to replicate the features of the doors unique to their time-period, such as the wrought-iron clavos and ornamental decorative hardware. This historical renovation project is only one example of Glenview Haus’ ability to recreate the past in the present.

Modern Commercial Doors – 33 W Ontario Street Chicago Townhomes – Model EMD-B1W

Glenview Haus recently renovated the entryways of an unusual collection of luxury townhouses at Ontario and State that really put their front doors to the test. Creating custom modern commercial doors for these units required both a designer’s eye and an engineer’s mind. The entries to these modern townhouses sit on the pool deck of a high-rise, 14 stories above street level. This lofty location and lack of entryway overhangs mean that the front doors endure heavy exposure to the elements. As a result, these wood front doors get more than their fair share of rain, snow, and especially wind.

Transitional Mahogany Front Door with Espresso Finish – 1722 N. Burling St., Chicago

Barrett Homes recently completed construction of a gorgeous home on N. Burling in Lincoln Park. Burling Street boasts a broad array of beautiful residences, and it’s one of maybe a handful of Chicago city streets known nationwide for its prime real estate. Each impeccably appointed address is carefully designed and well-considered. With its flawless facade and custom transitional front door, this latest addition to the block is no exception.

Transitional Mahogany Wood Front Door with Espresso Finish – 1702 N Burling St., Chicago

Using advanced engineering and construction methods, solid wood stiles and rails surround a polycarbonate core, encased by a real wood veneer. The outcome was a door that looked just like solid wood but resisted the symptoms — such as warping, splitting, and cracking — of exposure to moisture and fluctuating temperatures. The Euro Construction door also had far better insulation, keeping the home cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Glenview Haus hosted a superb evening on March 15, 2017 with local design association River North Design District. Together they welcomed 5 of Chicago’s most talented design and build professionals to share what inspires them with the 75 guests in attendance. Donna Mondi, Nora Schneider, Scott Dresner, Rodger Owen or BDG&C, and Randi Heller made up the all-star panel, with Jill Maremont moderating the event as MC.
