Painted doors are clad on both sides with 6mm thick MDF and painted directly onto the MDF. Lacquering cycle: 1 x primer, Sanding, 1 x primer, Sanding, Top Coat.

We offer painted finishes for our Luxeline doors that allow the wood grain to still be visible. This is a great selection for those wanting the painted look without compromising the beauty of the wood grain.

Finished with HDF boards and MDF, our lacquered finish option creates a smooth finish to our MDF doors. Great for those wanting a smooth, non-textured design throughout the home

Interior Modern Door Cross Section

Modern Interior Doors with Solid Core Construction:

Our solid core structure can be found throughout our Luxeline interior door collection. Our solid wood doors are produced using a solid wood center that is surrounded by your selection of natural wood veneer that is 1/4" thick.

Even if you choose something made of MDF over solid wood, the solid core construction remains. Using an RT8 core enclosed within MDF/plywood, these doors then receive a natural veneer to finish the look.

Construction of Modern Interior Doors:

  • Stiles and rails: A minimum of 3-15/16" engineered solid wood adhered to the core with corresponding vertical edges
  • Core: RT8 board with increased sound insulation - made environmentally friendly, ecological, and recyclable
  • Crossband: MDF- A grain-free wood substrate
  • Face Veneer: Available in different wood species with a variety of styles and designs
  • Adhesive: Door construction utilizes moisture-resistant D3 adhesives without any additional urea-formaldehyde
  • Finish: Our water based, commercial grade finish contains no additional urea-formaldehyde and is UV cured
